10 Ways to Pay Your Bill Online At AdventHealth
It’s much easier than you think to pay your bill online. Once you register for an account, it’s as easy as logging in and paying your bill whenever you want. You can also view statements, update your personal information and manage your account. If you are an AdventHealth patient, there are many ways to pay your bill. The quickest way is by logging into your account on the website and paying with a debit or credit card. It’s important that all members understand how payments work at the hospital so they can plan accordingly when it comes to their finances and healthcare costs. There are several ways to pay your bill at AdventHealth if you have not yet done so after receiving an invoice.
Pay your AdventHealth bill online.
It’s quick, easy and secure to pay your bill online. The process is simple and convenient, and you don’t even have to leave your home! If you have not logged into your online account, you can do so by visiting adventhealth.org/patient. Once logged into your account, you will be able to locate your invoice and pay the bill using a debit or credit card. You can also view statements, update your personal information and manage your account. Remember, if you are unsure of your account balance, you can always contact the Client Services Department at 800-933-7815.
Set up a payment plan.
Depending on your situation, you may be able to arrange a payment plan to help you pay your bill more quickly and avoid any additional fees. If you think this option may be right for you, you will need to contact the Client Service Department to discuss your options. If you have not yet contacted the hospital, now would be a good time to do so and inquire about setting up a payment plan. You may be able to arrange a payment plan that fits your monthly budget and payment expectations. If there is a chance that you may not be able to pay your bill by the due date, contact the hospital immediately and ask about setting up a payment plan.
Pay by cash or check at the hospital.
While most patients prefer to pay their bill online or set up a payment plan, you can always pay for your care by cash or check at the hospital when you visit. Be sure to bring your payment with you when you come in for care. If you are in a situation where paying cash is not a choice, you can always write a check. Be sure to write your account number on the check to ensure it is applied properly to your account. If you plan on paying by cash or check, you will need to contact the hospital in advance to let the Client Services Department know what you intend to pay. This will ensure the payment is applied correctly to your account.
Pay with an eCheck.
An eCheck is an electronic version of a paper check. You can write an eCheck online by logging into your account and clicking the “Pay Now” button. One advantage of using an eCheck is that it will clear your account much more quickly than a paper check. Depending on your bank, eChecks can take as little as one to two days to clear. Another advantage is that, if you have an AdventHealth account, you can use the same login information for both your bank account and AdventHealth account. This can simplify and streamline the process.
Make a monthly Auto-Payment.
While this alternative is not currently available for all patients, depending on the hospital you visit, you may have the option to set up a monthly Auto-Payment from your bank account, credit card or debit card. This is a good option for patients who are self-employed or have irregular incomes, are receiving government assistance, or have other financial issues that prevent them from making one lump payment at the beginning of the month. Keep in mind that there may be a processing fee associated with this option. AdventHealth will contact patients who are eligible to set up this option and will provide further instructions. While the hospital would prefer that all patients pay their bill in full at the time of service, if you are able to set up an Auto-Payment, it will help you avoid any additional fees and penalties.
Pay with an Advance Payment (AP).
An Advance Payment (AP) is a lump payment that you make in advance to your hospital account. The AP amount is based on your estimated charges for the entire hospital stay. AdventHealth will provide you with an estimated amount when you are admitted. An AP is not a guarantee that you will not have a balance after your stay. It is possible that your hospital charges will be more than the amount you paid in advance. If that happens, you will be responsible for paying the difference. Keep in mind that APs are non-refundable. If you are not able to pay the amount you have already paid, it will not be eligible for any type of reimbursement.
